Olivia runs a small soup shop by the edge of a forest far from town, but she carries a secret she cannot tell anyone: she can hear the voices in the hearts of both people and animals.
Because of this ability, she was shunned by her family. At the age of five, just before being sent to a monastery, she was taken in by her adoptive grandparents, eventually finding her way to this shop.
Twenty years later, Olivia has grown up shutting herself off from the people around her.
But one rainy morning, a former mercenary named Arthur arrives at her shop completely drenched, and he senses something unusual about her…!?
